Dan Rubel 499b6ba4cf Improve fasta parser computeType recovery 
This CL improves recovery when a type is required to interpret
"Foo.", ".", and ".Foo" as malformed prefixed type references.
When a type is *not* required, each of the above are still interpreted
as no-type-reference.
