`resolvedExecutable` is always running on the host, so this makes much more sense than starting from the target which may be a different platform. Still try from the target dill if that doesn't work: if the running tool is a third party tool using the CFE as a library then that might be the best we have to go on. Dart's flexible compiler technology lets you run Dart code in different ways, depending on your target platform and goals:

Dart Native: For programs targeting devices (mobile, desktop, server, and more), Dart Native includes both a Dart VM with JIT (just-in-time) compilation and an AOT (ahead-of-time) compiler for producing machine code.
