In ufshcd_suspend(), after clk-gating is suspended and link is set as Hibern8 state, ufshcd_hold() is still possibly invoked before ufshcd_suspend() returns. For example, MediaTek's suspend vops may issue UIC commands which would call ufshcd_hold() during the command issuing flow. Now if UFSHCD_CAP_HIBERN8_WITH_CLK_GATING capability is enabled, then ufshcd_hold() may enter infinite loops because there is no clk-ungating work scheduled or pending. In this case, ufshcd_hold() shall just bypass, and keep the link as Hibern8 state. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
