During ipmi stress tests we see occasional failure of transactions at the boot time. This happens in the case of a I2C_M_RECV_LEN transactions, when the read transfer completes (with the initial read length of 34) before the driver gets a chance to handle interrupts. The current driver code expects at least 2 interrupts for I2C_M_RECV_LEN transactions. The length is updated during the first interrupt, and the buffer contents are only copied during subsequent interrupts. In case of just one interrupt, we will complete the transaction without copying out the bytes from RX fifo. Update the code to drain the RX fifo after the length update, so that the transaction completes correctly in all cases. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
