The usb_device structure contains an array of usb_device "children".
This array is only valid if the usb_device is a hub, so it makes no
sense to store it there. Instead, store the usb_device child
in its parent usb_port structure.
Since usb_port is an internal USB core structure, add a new function to
get the USB device child, usb_hub_find_child(). Add a new macro,
usb_hub_get_each_child(), to iterate over all the children attached to a
particular USB hub.
Remove the printing the USB children array pointer from the usb-ip
driver, since it's really not necessary.

This patch removes the global variable composite in composite.c.
The private data which was saved there is now passed via an additional
argument to the bind() function in struct usb_gadget_driver.
Only the "old-style" UDC drivers have to be touched here, new style are
doing it right because this change is made in udc-core.

This Android gadget includes a bunch of .c files. Fixing normal gadgets
is not the real problem but this gadget is not always fixable since the
problem here are fundumential / design.
*I* wanted to get this removed but other people want to keep it even
though there were reports that Android itself is not using it. Some
poeple think that it is better to have this instead of nothing and other
argue that they need sdb and mass storage gadget. The sdb function is
not provided by ccg so I don't see the point of this. I don't see any
logical reasoning behind it and I decided that it is time for retreat.
This patch brings all dependencies of ccg into staging so I can do
whatever I want in drivers/usb/gadget without breaking ccg.

The "Low Performance USB Block driver" has been removed which a user of
libusual. Now we have only the usb-storage driver as the only driver in
tree. This makes libusual needless.
This patch removes libusal, fixes up all users. The usual-table is now
linked into usb-storage.
usb_usual.h remains in public include directory because some staging
users seem to need it.

The temperature channel reports values in degree Kelvin with sensitivity of 5630
codes per degree. If the chip is configured in bipolar mode there is an
additional binary offset of 0x800000 and the sensitivity is divided by two.
Currently the driver does the mapping from the raw value to degree Celsius when
doing a manual conversion. This has several disadvantages, the major one being
that it does not work for buffered mode, also by doing the division by the
sensitivity in the driver the precession of the reported value is needlessly
reduced.
Furthermore the current calculation only works in bipolar mode and the current
scale is of by a factor of 1000.
This patch modifies the driver to report correct offset and scale values in
both unipolar and bipolar mode and to report the raw temperature value
for manual conversions.

The temperature channel uses the internal 1.17V reference with 0.81 mv/C. The
reported temperature is in Kevlin, so we need to add the Kelvin to Celcius
offset when reporting the offset for the temperature channel.

Commit 3902a37028 (staging: comedi:
refactor comedi_device_attach() a bit) by yours truly introduced an
inverted logic bug in comedi_device_attach() for the case where the
driver expects the device to be configured by driver name rather than
board name. The result of a strcmp() is being tested incorrectly. Fix
it.

As mentioned by Ian Abbott, the comedi pci drivers that try to
locate an unused pci device with the pci_is_enabled() test
might actually skip over a perfectly good unused device. This
test is also not consistent with the other comedi pci drivers.
Remove the test from all the comedi pci drivers.

the driver duplicates the module_pci_driver code,
how?
module_pci_driver is used for those drivers whose
init and exit paths does only register and unregister
to pci API and nothing else.
so use the module_pci_driver macro instead

a) vfs_llseek() does *not* access userland pointers of any kind
b) neither does filp_close(), for that matter
c) ... nor filp_open()
d) vfs_read() does, but we do have a wrapper for that (kernel_read()),
so there's no need to reinvent it.
e) passing current->files to filp_close() on something that never
had been in descriptor table is pointless.

Here's the big staging tree merge for the 3.6-rc1 merge window.
There are some patches in here outside of drivers/staging/, notibly the iio
code (which is still stradeling the staging / not staging boundry), the pstore
code, and the tracing code. All of these have gotten ackes from the various
subsystem maintainers to be included in this tree. The pstore and tracing
patches are related, and are coming here as they replace one of the android
staging drivers.
Otherwise, the normal staging mess. Lots of cleanups and a few new drivers
(some iio drivers, and the large csr wireless driver abomination.)
Note, you will get a merge issue with the following files:
drivers/staging/comedi/drivers/s626.h
drivers/staging/gdm72xx/netlink_k.c
both of which should be trivial for you to handle.
