Modifies the driver to use a callback based architecture
for hardware dependent calls. This architecture is suitable
for supporting co-existence with newer versions of MFC hardware.

The patch renames hardware specific opr and cmd files to
opr_v5 and cmd_v5 respectively. This is done for accomodating
firmware v6. Also the shared memory management files are removed
and the functionality is added to the opr_v5 file.

Depending on the sensor configuration it might be required to adjust
the CSIS's output pixel clock so it is greater than its input pixel
clock, in order to avoid the input data FIFO overflow.
Use platform data to select SCLK_CSIS clock from CMU as a source, rather
than CSI APB clock.

The plane verification should be done before actually queuing or
dequeuing buffers, so move it out of __fill_v4l2_buffer and __fill_vb_buffer
and call it as a separate step.
This also makes it possible to change the return type of __fill_v4l2/vb_buffer
to void.
The dqbuf case took some special care: before removing a buffer from the
done_list you have to verify that the receiving v4l2_buffer has enough room
for all the planes. The number of planes can differ between buffers due to the
fact that buffers for other formats can be prepared using VIDIOC_PREPARE_BUF.

and a list of outputs. Each output refers to a subdev and has routing
information. An output does not have to have a subdev.
The initial output for each channel is set to the fist output.

The s_routing function should not try to detect a signal. It is a really
bad idea to try to detect a valid video signal and return an error if
you can't. Changing input should do just that and nothing more.
Also don't power on the ADCs on s_routing, instead do that on querystd.

The V4L2_PIX_FMT_S5C_YUYV_JPG image formats consists of 2 planes, the
first containing interleaved JPEG/YUYV data and the second containing
meta data describing the interleaving method.
The image data is transferred with MIPI-CSI "User Defined Byte-Based
Data 1" type and is captured to memory by FIMC DMA engine.
The meta data is transferred using MIPI-CSI2 "Embedded 8-bit non Image
Data" and it is captured in the MIPI-CSI slave device and copied to
the bridge provided buffer.
To make sure the size of allocated buffers is correct for the subdevs
configuration when VIDIOC_STREAMON ioctl is invoked, an additional
check is added at the video pipeline validation function.
Flag FMT_FLAGS_COMPRESSED indicates the buffer size must be retrieved
from a sensor subdev.

MIPI-CSI has internal memory mapped buffers for the frame embedded
(non-image) data. There are two buffers, for even and odd frames which
need to be saved after an interrupt is raised. The packet data buffers
size is 4 KiB and there is no status register in the hardware where the
actual non-image data size can be read from. Hence the driver copies
whole packet data buffer into a buffer provided by the FIMC driver.
This will form a separate plane in the user buffer.
When FIMC DMA engine is stopped by the driver due the to user space
not keeping up with buffer de-queuing the MIPI-CSIS will still run,
however it must discard data which is not captured by FIMC. Which
frames are actually capture by MIPI-CSIS is determined by means of
the s_tx_buffer subdev callback. When it is not called after a single
embedded data frame has been captured and copied and before next
embedded data frame interrupt occurrs, subsequent embedded data frames
will be dropped.

Now that i2c-mux-gpio is able to find the GPIO chip by itself, we can
delegate this task. The great thing here is that i2c-mux-gpio can
defer device probing until the gpio chip is available, so we no longer
depend on the module loading order.

The code instantiating an i2c-mux-gpio platform device doesn't
necessarily know in advance the GPIO pin numbers it wants to use. If
pins are on a GPIO device which gets its base GPIO number assigned
dynamically at run-time, the values can't be hard-coded.
In that case, let the caller tell i2c-mux-gpio the name of the GPIO
chip and the (relative) GPIO pin numbers to use. At probe time, the
i2c-mux-gpio driver will look for the chip and apply the proper offset
to turn relative GPIO pin numbers to absolute GPIO pin numbers.
The same could be (and was so far) done on the caller's end, however
doing it in i2c-mux-gpio has two benefits:
* It avoids duplicating the code on every caller's side (about 30
lines of code.)
* It allows for deferred probing for the muxed part of the I2C bus
only. If finding the GPIO chip is the caller's responsibility, then
deferred probing (if the GPIO chip isn't there yet) will not only
affect the mux and the I2C bus segments behind it, but also the I2C
bus trunk.

Add support for SMBus multiplexing on Asus Z8 motherboard series. On
these boards, the memory slots are behind a GPIO-controlled I2C
multiplexer. Models with 6 or 12 memory slots have 2 segments behind
the multiplexer, while models with 18 memory slots have 3 such
segments.
On these boards, only the memory slots are behind the multiplexer,
so it is possible to keep the autodetection mechanism.
The code is generic enough so it could work on other boards as long as
the multiplexer is controlled by GPIO pins. For other forms of
multiplexing (for example using an I2C device) additional code will be
needed.
Thanks to Asus for providing a board to develop and test this feature,
as well as all the technical information required.
At the moment, the GPIO driver must be loaded before the i2c-i801
driver, but I hope to solve this soon, using deferred probing on
the i2c-mux-gpio side.

Remove the global dependency of the I2C subsystem on HAS_IOMEM and
move the dependency to the i2c/busses submenu, with an exception for
i2c-stub.
The generic I2C part does not need to have HAS_IOMEM set and thus now
becomes available in UML, so the I2C subsystem can now be used, e.g.
by the i2c-stub driver, for development of I2C device drivers.

Converting kzalloc to devm_kzalloc simplifies the code and ensures that the
result, alert, is freed after the irq allocated by the subsequent
devm_request_irq. This in turn ensures that when an interrupt can be
triggered, the alert structure is still available.

Let I2C bus segments behind multiplexers have a class. This allows for
device auto-detection on these segments. As long as parent segments
don't share the same class, it should be fine.
I implemented support in drivers i2c-mux-gpio and i2c-mux-pca954x. I
left i2c-mux-pca9541 and i2c-mux-pinctrl alone for the moment as I
don't know if this feature makes sense for the use cases of these
drivers.

Because udev use is so widespread, making the old static mapping the
default is too conservative, given the severe limitations it places on
usable AoE addresses. Storage virtualization and larger shelves have made
the old limitations too confining.
These changes make the dynamic block device minor numbers the default,
removing the limitations on usable AoE addresses.
The static arrangement is still available with aoe_dyndevs=0, and the
aoe-stat tool from the userland aoetools package, the user space
counterpart to the aoe driver, recognizes the case where there is a
mismatch between the minor number in sysfs and the minor number in a
special device file.

new "aoe_dyndevs" module parameter available for enabling dynamic block
device minor numbers.

The ATA over Ethernet protocol uses a major (shelf) and minor (slot)
address to identify a particular storage target. These changes remove an
artificial limitation the aoe driver imposes on the use of AoE addresses.
For example, without these changes, the slot address has a maximum of 15,
but users commonly use slot numbers much greater than that.
The AoE shelf and slot address space is often used sparsely. Instead of
using a static mapping between AoE addresses and the block device minor
number, the block device minor numbers are now allocated on demand.

The internal version number of the aoe driver appears in a console message
when the driver loads and is usually obtained by the user with the
userland aoe-version tool, part of the aoetools.[1]
Although this patchset includes bugfixes backported from higher-numbered
versions published on the coraid.com website, it is a form of version 49.

In the driver code, "target" and aoetgt refer to a particular remote
interface on the AoE storage target. The latter is identified by its AoE
major and minor addresses. Commands that are being sent to an AoE storage
target {major, minor} can be sent or retransmitted to any of the remote
MAC addresses associated with the AoE storage target.
That is, frames are naturally associated with not an aoetgt (AoE major,
AoE minor, remote MAC address) but an aoedev (AoE major, AoE minor).
Making the code reflect that reality simplifies the driver, especially
when the path to a remote MAC address becomes unusable.

A guard is inserted to prevent AoE minor addresses (slot addresses) higher
than 15 to be used, as they are not yet supported by the driver.
There is a change coming that will allow the aoe driver to overcome this
limit by using system device minor numbers dynamically, but until then,
this guard prevents unexpected targets from being used by the driver when
AoE targets with high minor numbers are on the AoE network.

The discovery process begins with an optional AoE config query command and
an AoE config query response. Normally when an aoe device is already
open, the config query response does not trigger an ATA identify device
command to be sent out, since the response contains storage capacity
information that, if changed, could surprise the user of the device.
The userland "aoe-revalidate" tool uses a character device to trigger an
AoE config query for a particular AoE storage target and an ATA device
identify command, even when the device is open.
This change causes the config query to go out first, reflecting the normal
discovery sequence. The responses could come back in any order, so this
change is fairly cosmetic.

The aoe_deadsecs module parameter allows the user to specify a hard limit
on the number of seconds an AoE command can be retransmitted before the
AoE block device is considered to have failed.
Using aoe_deadsecs to determine the time we try using a different remote
interface helps to ensure that the hard limit is not reached before we've
tried to recover by sending to a different remote port.
As a data storage target, the AoE target is unambiguously identified by
its {major, minor} AoE address tuple, and an AoE target can have multiple
MAC addresses. However, note that "target" in the driver code and
comments means a {major, minor, MAC address} tuple, as in "somewhere to
send packets".

Users with several network interfaces dedicated to AoE generally do not
configure them to support different-sized AoE data payloads on purpose.
For a given AoE target, there will be a set of local network interfaces
that can reach it. Using only the payload that will fit in the
smallest-sized MTU of all those local interfaces greatly simplifies the
driver, especially in failure scenarios.

The dev_queue_xmit function needs to have interrupts enabled, so the most
simple way to get the locking right but still fulfill that requirement is
to use a process that can call dev_queue_xmit serially over queued
transmissions.

To allow users to choose an elevator algorithm for their particular
workloads, change from a make_request-style driver to an
I/O-request-queue-handler-style driver.
We have to do a couple of things that might be surprising. We manipulate
the page _count directly on the assumption that we still have no guarantee
that users of the block layer are prohibited from submitting bios
containing pages with zero reference counts.[1] If such a prohibition now
exists, I can get rid of the _count manipulation.
Just as before this patch, we still keep track of the sk_buffs that the
network layer still hasn't finished yet and cap the resources we use with
a "pool" of skbs.[2]
Now that the block layer maintains the disk stats, the aoe driver's
diskstats function can go away.

Make the frames the aoe driver uses to track the relationship between bios
and packets more flexible and detached, so that they can be passed to an
"aoe_ktio" thread for completion of I/O.
The frames are handled much like skbs, with a capped amount of
preallocation so that real-world use cases are likely to run smoothly and
degenerate gracefully even under memory pressure.
Decoupling I/O completion from the receive path and serializing it in a
process makes it easier to think about the correctness of the locking in
the driver, especially in the case of a remote MAC address becoming
unusable.

tAdd adds the ability to work with large packets composed of a number of
segments, using the scatter gather feature of the block layer (biovecs)
and the network layer (skb frag array). The motivation is the performance
gained by using a packet data payload greater than a page size and by
using the network card's scatter gather feature.
Users of the out-of-tree aoe driver already had these changes, but since
early 2011, they have complained of increased memory utilization and
higher CPU utilization during heavy writes.[1] The commit below appears
related, as it disables scatter gather on non-IP protocols inside the
harmonize_features function, even when the NIC supports sg.

Add discard support to nbd. If the nbd-server supports discard, it will
send NBD_FLAG_SEND_TRIM to the client. The client will then set the flag
in the kernel via NBD_SET_FLAGS, which tells the kernel to enable discards
for the device (QUEUE_FLAG_DISCARD).
If discard support is enabled, then when the nbd client system receives a
discard request, this will be passed along to the nbd-server. When the
discard request is received by the nbd-server, it will perform:
fallocate(.. FALLOC_FL_PUNCH_HOLE ..)
To punch a hole in the backend storage, which is no longer needed.

Add a set-flags ioctl, allowing various option flags to be set on an nbd
device. This allows the nbd-client to set the device flags (to enable
read-only mode, or enable discard support, etc.).
Flags are typically specified by the nbd-server. During the negotiation
phase of the nbd connection, the server sends its flags to the client.
The client then uses NBD_SET_FLAGS to inform the kernel of the options.
Also included is a one-line fix to debug output for the set-timeout ioctl.

Modify mport initialization routine to run the RapidIO discovery process
asynchronously. This allows to have an arbitrary order of enumerating and
discovering ports in systems with multiple RapidIO controllers without
creating a deadlock situation if enumerator port is registered after a
discovering one.
Making netID matching to mportID ensures consistent net ID assignment in
multiport RapidIO systems with asynchronous discovery process (global
counter implementation is affected by race between threads).

The following set of patches provides modifications targeting support of
multiple RapidIO master port (mport) devices on a CPU-side of
RapidIO-capable board. While the RapidIO subsystem code has definitions
suitable for multi-controller/multi-net support, the existing
implementation cannot be considered ready for multiple mport
configurations.
=========== NOTES: =============
a) The patches below do not address RapidIO side view of multiport
processing elements defined in Part 6 of RapidIO spec Rev.2.1 (section
6.4.1). These devices have Base Device ID CSR (0x60) and Component Tag
CSR (0x6C) shared by all SRIO ports. For example, Freescale's P4080,
P3041 and P5020 have a dual-port SRIO controller implemented according
the specification. Enumeration/discovery of such devices from RapidIO
side may require device-specific fixups.
b) Devices referenced above may also require implementation specific
code to setup a host device ID for mport device. These operations are
not addressed by patches in this package.

Details about provided patches:
1. Fix blocking wait for discovery ready
While it does not happen on PowerPC based platforms, there is
possibility of stalled CPU warning dump on x86 based platforms that run
RapidIO discovery process if they wait too long for being enumerated.
Currently users can avoid it by disabling the soft-lockup detector
using "nosoftlockup" kernel parameter OR by ensuring that enumeration
is completed before soft-lockup is detected.
This patch eliminates blocking wait and keeps a scheduler running.
It also is required for patch 3 below which introduces asynchronous
discovery process.
2. Use device lists handling on per-net basis
This patch allows to correctly support multiple RapidIO nets and
resolves possible issues caused by using single global list of devices
during RapidIO system enumeration/discovery. The most common sign of
existing issue is incorrect contents of switch routing tables in
systems with multiple mport controllers while single-port configuration
performs as expected.
The patch does not eliminate the global RapidIO device list but
changes some routines in enumeration/discovery to use per-net device
lists instead. This way compatibility with upper layer RIO routines is
preserved.
3. Run discovery as an asynchronous process
This patch modifies RapidIO initialization routine to asynchronously
run the discovery process for each corresponding mport. This allows
having an arbitrary order of enumerating and discovering mports without
creating a deadlock situation if an enumerator port was registered
after a discovering one.
On boards with multiple discovering mports it also eliminates order
dependency between mports and may reduce total time of RapidIO
subsystem initialization.
Making netID matching to mportID ensures consistent netID assignment
in multiport RapidIO systems with asynchronous discovery process
(global counter implementation is affected by race between threads).
4. Rework RIONET to support multiple RIO master ports
In the current version of the driver rionet_probe() has comment "XXX
Make multi-net safe". Now it is a good time to address this comment.
This patch makes RIONET driver multi-net safe/capable by introducing
per-net lists of RapidIO network peers. It also enables to register
network adapters for all available mport devices.
5. Add destination ID allocation mechanism
The patch replaces a single global destination ID counter with
per-net allocation mechanism to allow independent destID management for
each available RapidIO network. Using bitmap based mechanism instead
of counters allows destination ID release and reuse in systems that
support hot-swap.
This patch:
Fix blocking wait loop in the RapidIO discovery routine to avoid warning
dumps about stalled CPU on x86 platforms.

Apply port RX/TX enable operations only to active switch ports.
RapidIO specification (Part 6: LP-Serial Physical Layer) recommends to
keep Output Port Enable (TX) and Input Port Enable (RX) control bits in
disabled state (0b0) after device reset. It also allows to have
implementation specific reset state for these bits.
This patch ensures that TX/RX enable action is applied only to active
switch's ports while preserving an initial state of inactive ones.
This patch is intended to keep inactive switch ports with inbound and
outbound packet transfers disabled to block unexpected packets during hot
insertion event. While it does not fix any visible malfunction it is
intended to prevent such events in future.

Add common inbound memory mapping/unmapping interface. This allows to make
local memory space accessible from the RapidIO side using hardware mapping
capabilities of RapidIO bridging devices. The new interface is intended to
enable data transfers between RapidIO devices in combination with DMA engine
support.

Fix multicast packet transmit logic to account for repetitive transmission
of single skb:
- correct check for available buffers (this bug may produce NULL pointer
crash dump in case of heavy traffic);
- update skb user count (incorrect user counter causes a warning dump from
net_tx_action routine during multicast transfers in systems with three or
more rionet participants).

functionality") disabled m41t80's alarm functions. But since those
functions were not touched, building this driver triggers these GCC

Without this patch /sys/class/rtc/$CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE/hctosys
contains a 1 (meaning "This rtc was used to initialize the system
clock") even if setting the time by do_settimeofday() at bootup failed.
The RTC can also be used to set the clock on resume, if it did 1,
otherwise 0. Previously there was no indication if the RTC was used
to set the clock in resume.
This uses only CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE for conditional compilation
instead of it and CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS to be more consistent.
rtc_hctosys_ret was moved to class.c so class.c no longer depends on
hctosys.c.

i.mx drivers should use clk_prepare_enable/clk_disable_unprepare() in
order to avoid clk warnings.
While at it, convert to devm_clk_get() since other devm_ functions are
used in this driver and it can also save some clk_put() calls.

clk_prepare_enable and clk_disable_unprepare combine clk_prepare and
clk_enable, and clk_disable and clk_unprepare. They make the code more
concise, and ensure that clk_unprepare is called when clk_enable fails.

There are several comparisons of a unsigned int to less than zero int
spear RTC driver. Such a check will always be true. In all these cases a
signed int is assigned to the unsigned variable, which is checked, before.
So the right fix is to make the checked variable signed as well. In one
case the check can be dropped completely, because all it does it returns
'err' if 'err' is less than zero, otherwise it returns 0. Since in this
particular case 'err' is always either 0 or less this is the same as just
returning 'err'.
The issue has been found using the following coccinelle semantic patch:

The irq field of the jz4740_irc struct is unsigned. Yet we assign the
result of platform_get_irq() to it. platform_get_irq() may return a
negative error code and the code checks for this condition by checking if
'irq' is less than zero. But since 'irq' is unsigned this test will
always be false. Fix it by making 'irq' signed.

When calling rtc_device_unregister, we are not freeing the id used by the
driver. So when doing a unload/load cycle for a RTC driver (e.g. rmmod
rtc_cmos && modprobe rtc_cmos), its id is incremented by one. As a
consequence, we no longer have neither an rtc0 driver nor a
/proc/driver/rtc (as it only exists for the first driver).

To get time information via /proc/driver/rtc, only the first device (rtc0)
is used. If the rtcN (eg. rtc1 or rtc2) is used for the system clock,
there is no way to get information of rtcN via /proc/driver/rtc. With
this patch, the time data can be retrieved from the system clock RTC.
If the RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE is not defined, then rtc0 is used by default.

The ACARD driver calls udelay() with a value > 2000, which leads to to
the following compilation error on ARM:
ERROR: "__bad_udelay" [drivers/scsi/atp870u.ko] undefined!
make[1]: *** [__modpost] Error 1
This is because udelay is defined on ARM, roughly speaking, as
#define udelay(n) ((n) > 2000 ? __bad_udelay() : \
__const_udelay((n) * ((2199023U*HZ)>>11)))
The argument to __const_udelay is the number of jiffies to wait divided
by 4, but this does not work unless the multiplication does not
overflow, and that is what the build error is designed to prevent. The
intended behavior can be achieved by using mdelay to call udelay
multiple times in a loop.

As spotted by Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> (thanks!), we have
improperly used an unsigned variable in a calculation that may result in a
negative number. This may cause an unintended underflow if the interface
frequency of the tuner is > approx. 40MHz.
This patch should resolve the issue, following an approach similar to what is
used in af9013.c.

exynos-drm-hdmi need context pointers from hdmi and mixer. These
pointers were expected from the plf data. Cleaned this dependency
by exporting i/f which are called by hdmi, mixer driver probes
for setting their context.

The 'exynos-drm-hdmi' driver makes use of s5p-tv platform devices. Therefore
the driver should use the same platform data to prevent crashes caused by
dereferencing incorrect types. This patch corrects the exynos-drm-hdmi driver
to the platform data from s5p-hdmi.

The retry_count and rnr_retry_count connection parameters are both

they're not.

If a qdisc is installed on a team device, its possible to get
a lockdep splat under stress, because nested dev_queue_xmit() can
lock busylock a second time (on a different device, so its a false
positive)
Avoid this problem using a distinct lock_class_key for team
devices.

Fengguang correctly points out that the firmware reading should not use
vfs_read(), since the buffer is in kernel space.
The vfs_read() just happened to work for kernel threads, but sparse
warns about the incorrect address spaces, and it's definitely incorrect
and could fail for other users of the firmware loading.

Backend drivers shouldn't transistion to CLOSED unless the frontend is
CLOSED. If a backend does transition to CLOSED too soon then the
frontend may not see the CLOSING state and will not properly shutdown.
So, treat an unexpected backend CLOSED state the same as CLOSING.

When watching the interrupts through /proc/interrupts,
the name of the interrupts are blank or garbage. The
reason is the pointer passed for devname during irq
registration is stack and so it get changed after
dma registration completes.
Allocate the pointer as part of dma channel and pass
this pointer as the devname for irq registration to
avoid change of name.

Now that we correctly generate it, this hack is no longer required (and
might actually paper over a serious bug).
pageflip timestamps are sanity check in the latest version of the flip-test
in intel-gpu-tools.

... since finish_page_flip needs the vblank timestamp generated
in drm_handle_vblank. Somehow all the gmch platforms get it right,
but all the pch platform irq handlers get is wrong. Hooray for copy&
pasting!
Currently this gets papered over by a gross hack in finish_page_flip.
A second patch will remove that.
Note that without this, the new timestamp sanity checks in flip_test
occasionally get tripped up, hence the cc: stable tag.

Subsequent threads returning EBUSY from vm_insert_pfn() was not handled
correctly. As a result concurrent access from new threads to
mmapped data caused SIGBUS.
Note that this fixes i-g-t/tests/gem_threaded_tiled_access.

RX/TX CQs will now be selected from a per HCA pool. For the RX flow
this has the effect of using different interrupt vectors when using
low level drivers (such as mlx4) that map the "vector" param provided
by the ULP on CQ creation to a dedicated IRQ/MSI-X vector. This
allows the RX flow processing of IO responses to be distributed across
multiple CPUs.
QPs (--> iSER sessions) are assigned to CQs in round robin order using
the CQ with the minimum number of sessions attached to it.

when fb changing is requested, crtc's dpms mode should be on.
if not on, return -EPERM so that the hardware can't be accessed.
if user requesed dpms off and next SetCrtc with an another fb
then the hardware can be accessed with dpms off to write overlay
data onto some registers so this patch will prevent from accessing
the hardware with dpms off.

this patch ensures that each plane connected to encoder is disabled
when released, by adding disable callback function of encoder helper
we had faced with one issue that invalid memory is accessed by dma
once drm is released and then the dma is turned on again. actually,
in our case, page fault was incurred with iommu. the reason is that
a gem buffer accessed by the dma is also released once drm is released.
so this patch would fix this issue ensuring the dma is disabled
when released.

if old_crtc isn't same as encoder->crtc then it means that
user changed crtc id to another one so a plane to old_crtc
should be disabled so that current plane can be updated safely
and plane->crtc should be set to new crtc(encoder->crtc)

this patch adds buf_cnt variable in exynos_drm_fb structure and
that means a buffer count to drm framebuffer and also adds two
functions to get/set the buffer count from/to exynos_drm_fb structure.
if pixel format is not DRM_FORMAT_NV12MT then it gets a buffer count
to drm framebuffer refering to mode_cmd->handles and offsets.
but when booted, the buffer count will always be 1 because pixel
format of console framebuffer is RGB format.

This patch increases the default for nopin_timeout to 15 seconds (wait
between sending a new NopIN ping) and nopin_response_timeout to 30 seconds
(wait for NopOUT response before failing the connection) in order to avoid
false positives by iSCSI Initiators who are not always able (under load) to
respond to NopIN echo PING requests within the current 5 second window.
False positives have been observed recently using Open-iSCSI code on v3.3.x
with heavy large-block READ workloads over small MTU 1 Gb/sec ports, and
increasing these values to more reasonable defaults significantly reduces
the possibility of false positive NopIN response timeout events under
this specific workload.
Historically these have been set low to initiate connection recovery as
soon as possible if we don't hear a ping back, but for modern v3.x code
on 1 -> 10 Gb/sec ports these new defaults make alot more sense.

This is a first step in allowing people to by-pass udev for loading
device firmware. Current versions of udev will deadlock (causing us to
block for the 30 second timeout) under some circumstances if the
firmware is loaded as part of the module initialization path, and this
is causing problems for media drivers in particular.
The current patch hardcodes the firmware path that udev uses by default,
and will fall back to the legacy udev mode if the firmware cannot be
found there. We'd like to add support for both configuring the paths
and the fallback behaviour, but in the meantime this hopefully fixes the
immediate problem, while also giving us a way forward.

Currently, the InfiniBand stack does not support flow steering at the
verbs level -- the only usage of flow steering in the IB driver is for
L2 multicast attaches. We need to add the IB case to procedure
mlx4_QP_FLOW_STEERING_ATTACH_wrapper() to allow IPoIB to work on VFs
on ConnectX-3 when flow steering is enabled.
Currently, the IB case in mlx4_QP_FLOW_STEERING_ATTACH_wrapper() is missing,
so the procedure returns -EINVAL and IPoIB on VFs breaks.

Commit d760fc37b0 caused
1G functions to allocate rx rings which were 1/10 of the
size of 10G functions' rx rings.
However, it also caused 10G functions on 5771x boards to
allocate small rings, which limits their possible (default)
rx throughput. This patch causes all 10G functions to use
rings of intended length by default.

The loop in ixgbe_reinit_fdir_tables_82599() only polls for up to 100us
resulting in failures to update the FDIR filter table at 1Gbps and 10Gbps
when under load.
The poll times for FDIRCTRL.INIT_DONE are 55us, 550us and 5.5ms for 10Gbps,
1Gbps and 100Mbps respectively.
This patch sets the wait time to be the same as in ixgbe_fdir_enable_82599()

This patch fixes a development issue that occurred due to invalid modes reported

Driver was enabling PPS interrupt even when user wasn't enabling it via the
ptp core. This patch fixes the PPS so that it is only enabled explicitly, and
moves the interrupt enabling code into the correct location in the driver

This patch fixes a bug in the method used for calculating the trigger
alignment for SDP0 when enabling a PPS output on the X540. The alignment math
wasn't properly taking into account the overflow cyclecounter, and was
misaligning the pin triggers so that two X540 devices synced properly had
mis-aligned SDP pins. This patch fixes the math to calculate the correct
seconds alignment for the PPS signal.

On some systems, e.g., kzm9g, MMCIF interfaces can produce spurious
interrupts without any active request. To prevent the Oops, that results
in such cases, don't dereference the mmc request pointer until we make
sure, that we are indeed processing such a request.

Upon completion of a MMC_WRITE_MULTIPLE_BLOCK command MMCIF issues an IRQ
with the DTRANE bit set and often with one or several of CMD12 bits set.
If those interrupts are not acknowledged, an additional interrupt can be
produced and will be delivered later, possibly, when the transaction has
already been completed. To prevent this from happening, CMD12 completion
interrupt sources have to be cleared too upon reception of an DTRANE IRQ.

If sdhci-s3c driver is built as module, it gives following error if inserted
again after removing. This was happening as pm_runtime_use_autosuspend() is
called in sdhci_s3c_probe() function but in sdhci_s3c_remove() its
complementary pm_runtime_dont_use_autosuspend() is not called.

In case of multiple bus clock sources, all the clock sources were
getting enabled. As only one clock source is needed at the time hence
enable only the required bus clock.
This patch does as follows:
1. In sdhci_s3c_probe enable only required bus clock source.
2. Handle the disabling of old bus clock and enables the
best clock selected in sdhci_s3c_set_clock().

This reverts commit 94c6cee91 (Add check for IDMAC configuration).
Synopsys says that only if internal dmac is not present, optional
external dma interface is present. When internal dmac is present,
'0' value in DMA_INTERFACE of HCON is reasonable. DMA_INTERFACE
indicates external dma interface. And idmac initialization is
prohibited now.
The commit should be reverted since: the check for IDMAC is not
reliable; falling back to PIO would provide awful performance; we
wouldn't expect to see instances of this block without DMA support.

The problem can be easily reproduced using a script that loops
copying a file in an SD card to another place in the same SD card
and its related to read transfers. This only happens with DMA enabled.
This is related to the fact that, when reading, an MMC irq signals
the fact that all data from the SD card has been copied to the
internal buffers. However, it doesn't signal whether the DMA transfer
that is in charge of moving data from these internal buffers to RAM
has finished or not. Thus, calling dmaengine_terminate_all() in the
MMC irq routine can cancel an ongoing DMA transfer leaving some data
in the internal buffers that produces an accumulative effect which,
in the end, blocks a read data transfer forever.
The following patch watches DMA irq for reading and MMC irqs for
writing transfers. The 'dangerous' usage of dmaengine_terminate_all()
is removed and a timeout of 10 seconds is added so that the MMC won't
block forever anymore.

In some cases mmc_suspend_host() is not able to claim the
host and proceed with the suspend process. The core returns
-EBUSY to the host controller driver. Unfortunately, the
host controller driver does not pass on this information
to the PM core and hence the system suspend process continues.

The return status from mmc_suspend_host() is overwritten by return
status from host->pdata->resume. So the original return status is lost.
In these cases the MMC core gets to an unexpected state
during resume and multiple issues related to MMC crop up.
1. Host controller driver starts accessing the device registers
before the clocks are enabled which leads to a prefetch abort.
2. A file copy thread which was launched before suspend gets
stuck due to the host not being reclaimed during resume.
To avoid such problems pass on the -EBUSY status to the PM core
from the host controller driver. With this change, MMC core
suspend might still fail but it does not end up making the
system unusable. Suspend gets aborted and the user can try
suspending the system again.

Earlier, atmel-mci was adapted to make use of the peripheral DMA
controller (PDC), in case normal DMA wouldn't work.

This works OK on ARM platforms (AT91), but it broke the driver
for AVR32, the AP700x. Although the MCI has PDC support, the
connection is not done for AVR chips.
This patch makes the use of PDC depend on !CONFIG_AVR32.

After the latest changes to atmel-mci, it could not be used with
DMA on the AVR32 platform. This patch will allow to use DMA again
and it will avoid access to MCI register ATMCI_DMA.
Even if the IP version is lower than v3xx and doesn't have the DMA
configuration register, DMA transfers can be used with a different
controller than the Atmel AHB DMA one. For instance, some AVR chips
use the Synopsys DesignWare AHB DMA controller.

clk_prepare_enable and clk_disable_unprepare combine clk_prepare and
clk_enable, and clk_disable and clk_unprepare. They make the code more
concise, and ensure that clk_unprepare is called when clk_enable fails.

The core dw-mshc controller driver can let platform specific
implementations of the dw-mshc controller to control the hardware
as required by such implementations. This is acheived by invoking
implementation specific (optional) callbacks. Define the list of
callbacks supported the add invocation points for the same.

Platform implementations of dw-mshc controller may choose to extend the
features of the standard dw-mshc controller such as adding additional
clocking options or modifying the bus interface. Support for such
implementation specific extensions can be incorporated into dw_mmc-pltfm,
but including multiple such platform specific implementations would
convolute the existing dw_mmc-pltfm code.
Instead, it would be better to create implementation specific platform
drivers to support implementation specific features. Such platforms
drivers can reuse the existing infrastructure in dw_mmc-pltfm for
resource identification and controller registration and provide support
for implementation specific features. So, allow the infrastructure in
dw_mmc-pltfm to be reused by other implementation specific platform
drivers.

If the write protect pad of the controller is not connected to the write
protect pin of the slot, the driver should be notified of this condition
so that incorrect check for write protection by reading the WRTORT
register can avoided. The get_ro platform callback can be used for in
such cases, but with device tree support enabled, such platform callbacks
cannot be supported.
Add a new quirk for notifying the driver about the missing write protect
line so the driver can assume that the card write protection is disabled.

Instead of aborting the probe when a slot initialization fails, allow
initialization of as many slots as possible. If there is at least one
instance of a slot that is successfully initialized, allow the driver
probe to succeed.
