Oleksandr Andrushchenko bf8dc55b13 xen/gntdev: Implement dma-buf import functionality
1. Import a dma-buf with the file descriptor provided and export
   granted references to the pages of that dma-buf into the array
   of grant references.

2. Add API to close all references to an imported buffer, so it can be
   released by the owner. This is only valid for buffers created with
   IOCTL_GNTDEV_DMABUF_IMP_TO_REFS.

Oleksandr Andrushchenko a240d6e42e xen/gntdev: Implement dma-buf export functionality
1. Create a dma-buf from grant references provided by the foreign
   domain. By default dma-buf is backed by system memory pages, but
   by providing GNTDEV_DMA_FLAG_XXX flags it can also be created
   as a DMA write-combine/coherent buffer, e.g. allocated with
   corresponding dma_alloc_xxx API.
   Export the resulting buffer as a new dma-buf.

2. Implement waiting for the dma-buf to be released: block until the
   dma-buf with the file descriptor provided is released.
   If within the time-out provided the buffer is not released then
   -ETIMEDOUT error is returned. If the buffer with the file descriptor
   does not exist or has already been released, then -ENOENT is
   returned. For valid file descriptors this must not be treated as
   error.

3. Make gntdev's common code and structures available to dma-buf.

 unnecessary warning about it not being initialized on i386 with gcc 8.1.1]

Oleksandr Andrushchenko 932d656217 xen/gntdev: Add initial support for dma-buf UAPI
Add UAPI and IOCTLs for dma-buf grant device driver extension:
the extension allows userspace processes and kernel modules to
use Xen backed dma-buf implementation. With this extension grant
references to the pages of an imported dma-buf can be exported
for other domain use and grant references coming from a foreign
domain can be converted into a local dma-buf for local export.
Implement basic initialization and stubs for Xen DMA buffers'
support.

Oleksandr Andrushchenko 1d31456755 xen/gntdev: Make private routines/structures accessible
This is in preparation for adding support of DMA buffer
functionality: make map/unmap related code and structures, used
privately by gntdev, ready for dma-buf extension, which will re-use
these. Rename corresponding structures as those become non-private
to gntdev now.

Oleksandr Andrushchenko 9bdc7304f5 xen/grant-table: Allow allocating buffers suitable for DMA
Extend grant table module API to allow allocating buffers that can
be used for DMA operations and mapping foreign grant references
on top of those.
The resulting buffer is similar to the one allocated by the balloon
driver in that proper memory reservation is made by
({increase|decrease}_reservation and VA mappings are updated if
needed).
This is useful for sharing foreign buffers with HW drivers which
cannot work with scattered buffers provided by the balloon driver,
but require DMAable memory instead.

Oleksandr Andrushchenko ae4c51a50c xen/balloon: Share common memory reservation routines
Memory {increase|decrease}_reservation and VA mappings update/reset
code used in balloon driver can be made common, so other drivers can
also re-use the same functionality without open-coding.
Create a dedicated file for the shared code and export corresponding
symbols for other kernel modules.

Boris Ostrovsky eef04c7b37 xen: Remove unnecessary BUG_ON from __unbind_from_irq()
Commit 910f8befdf ("xen/pirq: fix error path cleanup when binding
MSIs") fixed a couple of errors in error cleanup path of
xen_bind_pirq_msi_to_irq(). This cleanup allowed a call to
__unbind_from_irq() with an unbound irq, which would result in
triggering the BUG_ON there.

Since there is really no reason for the BUG_ON (xen_free_irq() can
operate on unbound irqs) we can remove it.

Juergen Gross c51b3c639e xen: add new hypercall buffer mapping device
For passing arbitrary data from user land to the Xen hypervisor the
Xen tools today are using mlock()ed buffers. Unfortunately the kernel
might change access rights of such buffers for brief periods of time
e.g. for page migration or compaction, leading to access faults in the
hypervisor, as the hypervisor can't use the locks of the kernel.

In order to solve this problem add a new device node to the Xen privcmd
driver to easily allocate hypercall buffers via mmap(). The memory is
allocated in the kernel and just mapped into user space. Marked as
VM_IO the user mapping will not be subject to page migration et al.

Oleksandr Andrushchenko 6e3cc2a6e2 xen/grant-table: Export gnttab_{alloc|free}_pages as GPL
Only gnttab_{alloc|free}_pages are exported as EXPORT_SYMBOL
while all the rest are exported as EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL, thus
effectively making it not possible for non-GPL driver modules
to use grant table module. Export gnttab_{alloc|free}_pages as
EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL so all the exports are aligned.

Kees Cook 344476e16a treewide: kvmalloc() -> kvmalloc_array()
The kvmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kvmalloc_array(). This
patch replaces cases of:

        kvmalloc(a * b, gfp)

with:
        kvmalloc_array(a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        kvmalloc(a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        kvmalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        kvmalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        kvmalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

Kees Cook 6da2ec5605 treewide: kmalloc() -> kmalloc_array()
The kmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kmalloc_array(). This
patch replaces cases of:

        kmalloc(a * b, gfp)

with:
        kmalloc_array(a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        kmalloc(a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        kmalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        kmalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        kmalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

The tools/ directory was manually excluded, since it has its own
implementation of kmalloc().

Joe Jin 4855c92dbb xen-swiotlb: fix the check condition for xen_swiotlb_free_coherent
When run raidconfig from Dom0 we found that the Xen DMA heap is reduced,
but Dom Heap is increased by the same size. Tracing raidconfig we found
that the related ioctl() in megaraid_sas will call dma_alloc_coherent()
to apply memory. If the memory allocated by Dom0 is not in the DMA area,
it will exchange memory with Xen to meet the requiment. Later drivers
call dma_free_coherent() to free the memory, on xen_swiotlb_free_coherent()
the check condition (dev_addr + size - 1 <= dma_mask) is always false,
it prevents calling xen_destroy_contiguous_region() to return the memory
to the Xen DMA heap.

This issue introduced by commit 6810df88dc "xen-swiotlb: When doing
coherent alloc/dealloc check before swizzling the MFNs.".

Roger Pau Monne 515e6541f5 xen/store: do not store local values in xen_start_info
There's no need to store the xenstore page or event channel in
xen_start_info if they are locally initialized.

This also fixes PVH local xenstore initialization due to the lack of
xen_start_info in that case.

Paul Durrant 3ad0876554 xen/privcmd: add IOCTL_PRIVCMD_MMAP_RESOURCE
My recent Xen patch series introduces a new HYPERVISOR_memory_op to
support direct priv-mapping of certain guest resources (such as ioreq
pages, used by emulators) by a tools domain, rather than having to access
such resources via the guest P2M.

This patch adds the necessary infrastructure to the privcmd driver and
Xen MMU code to support direct resource mapping.

NOTE: The adjustment in the MMU code is partially cosmetic. Xen will now
      allow a PV tools domain to map guest pages either by GFN or MFN, thus
      the term 'mfn' has been swapped for 'pfn' in the lower layers of the
      remap code.

Joao Martins 4d0f1ce695 xen/acpi: upload _PSD info for non Dom0 CPUs too
All uploaded PM data from non-dom0 CPUs takes the info from vCPU 0 and
changing only the acpi_id. For processors which P-state coordination type
is HW_ALL (0xFD) it is OK to upload bogus P-state dependency information
(_PSD), because Xen will ignore any cpufreq domains created for past CPUs.

Albeit for platforms which expose coordination types as SW_ANY or SW_ALL,
this will have some unintended side effects. Effectively, it will look at
the P-state domain existence and *if it already exists* it will skip the
acpi-cpufreq initialization and thus inherit the policy from the first CPU
in the cpufreq domain. This will finally lead to the original cpu not
changing target freq to P0 other than the first in the domain. Which will
make turbo boost not getting enabled (e.g. for 'performance' governor) for
all cpus.

This patch fixes that, by also evaluating _PSD when we enumerate all ACPI
processors and thus always uploading the correct info to Xen. We export
acpi_processor_get_psd() for that this purpose, but change signature
to not assume an existent of acpi_processor given that ACPI isn't creating
an acpi_processor for non-dom0 CPUs.

Simon Gaiser 2a22ee6c3a xen: xenbus_dev_frontend: Fix XS_TRANSACTION_END handling
Commit fd8aa9095a ("xen: optimize xenbus driver for multiple
concurrent xenstore accesses") made a subtle change to the semantic of
xenbus_dev_request_and_reply() and xenbus_transaction_end().

Before on an error response to XS_TRANSACTION_END
xenbus_dev_request_and_reply() would not decrement the active
transaction counter. But xenbus_transaction_end() has always counted the
transaction as finished regardless of the response.

The new behavior is that xenbus_dev_request_and_reply() and
xenbus_transaction_end() will always count the transaction as finished
regardless the response code (handled in xs_request_exit()).

But xenbus_dev_frontend tries to end a transaction on closing of the
device if the XS_TRANSACTION_END failed before. Trying to close the
transaction twice corrupts the reference count. So fix this by also
considering a transaction closed if we have sent XS_TRANSACTION_END once
regardless of the return code.

Roger Pau Monne 910f8befdf xen/pirq: fix error path cleanup when binding MSIs
Current cleanup in the error path of xen_bind_pirq_msi_to_irq is
wrong. First of all there's an off-by-one in the cleanup loop, which
can lead to unbinding wrong IRQs.

Secondly IRQs not bound won't be freed, thus leaking IRQ numbers.

Note that there's no need to differentiate between bound and unbound
IRQs when freeing them, __unbind_from_irq will deal with both of them
correctly.

After bisection, it was found the first bad commit is bd4c82c22c ("mm,
THP, swap: delay splitting THP after swapped out").

The root cause is as follows:

When the pages are written to swap device during swapping out in
swap_writepage(), zswap (fontswap) is tried to compress the pages to
improve performance.  But zswap (frontswap) will treat THP as a normal
page, so only the head page is saved.  After swapping in, tail pages
will not be restored to their original contents, causing memory
corruption in the applications.

This is fixed by refusing to save page in the frontswap store functions
if the page is a THP.  So that the THP will be swapped out to swap
device.

Another choice is to split THP if frontswap is enabled.  But it is found
that the frontswap enabling isn't flexible.  For example, if
CONFIG_ZSWAP=y (cannot be module), frontswap will be enabled even if
zswap itself isn't enabled.

Frontswap has multiple backends, to make it easy for one backend to
enable THP support, the THP checking is put in backend frontswap store
functions instead of the general interfaces.

Joao Martins 29fee6eed2 xenbus: track caller request id
Commit fd8aa9095a ("xen: optimize xenbus driver for multiple concurrent
xenstore accesses") optimized xenbus concurrent accesses but in doing so
broke UABI of /dev/xen/xenbus. Through /dev/xen/xenbus applications are in
charge of xenbus message exchange with the correct header and body. Now,
after the mentioned commit the replies received by application will no
longer have the header req_id echoed back as it was on request (see
specification below for reference), because that particular field is being
overwritten by kernel.

Before there was only one request at a time so req_id could simply be
forwarded back and forth. To allow simultaneous requests we need a
different req_id for each message thus kernel keeps a monotonic increasing
counter for this field and is written on every request irrespective of
userspace value.

Forwarding again the req_id on userspace requests is not a solution because
we would open the possibility of userspace-generated req_id colliding with
kernel ones. So this patch instead takes another route which is to
artificially keep user req_id while keeping the xenbus logic as is. We do
that by saving the original req_id before xs_send(), use the private kernel
counter as req_id and then once reply comes and was validated, we restore
back the original req_id.

actually work quite correctly in some cases due to this on Sparc et al.

The next patch from Al will sort out the final differences, and we
should be all done.

  unifying {de,}mangle_poll() has to be done after the
  search-and-replace job, since we need userland-side POLL... for
  unified {de,}mangle_poll(), thus the cherry-pick at the last step.

  After that we will have:

   - POLL{IN,OUT,...} *not* in __poll_t, so any stray instances of
     ->poll() still using those will be caught by sparse.

   - eventpoll.c and select.c warning-free wrt __poll_t

   - no more kernel-side definitions of POLL... - userland ones are
     visible through the entire kernel (and used pretty much only for
     mangle/demangle)

   - same behavior as after the first series (i.e. sparc et.al. epoll(2)

Stefano Stabellini 7611912588 pvcalls-back: do not return error on inet_accept EAGAIN
When the client sends a regular blocking accept request, the backend is
expected to return only when the accept is completed, simulating a
blocking behavior, or return an error.

Specifically, on EAGAIN from inet_accept, the backend shouldn't return
"EAGAIN" to the client. Instead, it should simply continue the wait.
Otherwise, the client will send another accept request, which will cause
another EAGAIN to be sent back, which is a waste of resources and not
conforming to the expected behavior. Change the behavior by turning the
"goto error" into a return.
