Linus Torvalds 9cf5b508bd remoteproc updates for v6.2
rproc-virtio device names are now auto generated, to avoid conflicts
 between remoteproc instances.

The imx_rproc driver is extended with support for communicating with and
attaching to a running M4 on i.MX8QXP, as well as support for
attaching to the M4 after self-recovering from a crash. Support is
added for i.MX8QM and mailbox channels are reconnected during the
recovery process, in order to avoid data corruption.

The Xilinx Zynqmp firmware interface is extended and support for the
 Xilinx R5 RPU is introduced.

Various resources leaks, primarily in error paths, throughout the
 Qualcomm drivers are corrected.

Lastly a fix to ensure that pm_relax is invoked even if the remoteproc
instance is stopped between a crash is being reported and the recovery
 handler is scheduled.

Qualcomm driver updates for 6.2

The qcom,msm-id and qcom,board-id DeviceTree properties are documented,
to allow them to be used in configurations or devices requiring these
and the socinfo driver is updated to reuse the introduced identifiers.

The rpmh-rsc driver is extended to register for PM runtime notifications
from the CPU clusters, in order to submit sleep and wake votes the last
core in a cluster is being powered down.

A mechanism for keeping rpmhpd resources voted until sync_state is
introduced, this ensures that power-domains required during boot are
kept enabled. The rpmhpd power-domains for SDM670 are also added.

Support for the new QDU1000/QRU1000 platform is introduced in the rpmhpd
and socinfo drivers.

The APR driver gains missing error handling. QMI message descriptors in
the PDR driver are made const.

Support for the RPM found in SM6375 is added. The SPM driver gains
support for MSM8939 and MSM8976 platforms.

The stats and command-db drvers are marked as not having PM support.

Linus Torvalds 3976d758e0 ARM: DT changes for 6.0
As usual, the bulk of the changes for the SoC tree are devicetree file
updates, and most of these changes are for 64-bit embedded machines.
As before, there are a ton of style cleanups, and additional hardware
 support for existing machines.

Looking only at the new SoC, the notable additions are:

  - A whole family of Broadcom broadband SoCs, both 32-bit and 64-bit:
    BCM63178, BCM63158, BCM4912, BCM6858, BCM6878, BCM6846, BCM63146,
    BCM6856, BCM6855, BCM6756, BCM63148, and BCM6813.
Each SoC comes with a corresponding reference board.

  - The new NXP i.MX93 SoC, the follow-up to the popular i.MX6 and
i.MX8 embedded SoCs, now using Cortex-A55 cores and the
    Ethos-U65 NPU.

  - Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 (SC8280XP), the current high end
of Arm based Laptop SoCs, and its automotive cousin, the
SA8540P. The SC8280XP is used in the Lenovo Thinkpad X13s
laptop that also gets added here in addition to the reference
    boards.

  - Allwinner H616, a newer version of the H6 SoC, targeted at
Set-top-box applications. It comes with dts files for the
Orange Pi zero2 single-board computer and the X96 Mate
    set-top-box

  - Marvell Prestera 98DX2530 (AlleyCat5), a network switch chip
in the Armada SoC family based on the Cortex-A55 core.

New machines based on previously supported SoCs include:

  - Several new machines on NXP i.MX platforms: multiple Toradex
Colibri boards using the "Iris" and "Ixora" carriers,
DH electronics i.MX8M Plus DHCOM and PDK2, TQ-Systems
    TQMa8MPQL, and phytech phyBOARD-Polis-i.MX8MM.

  - Google Chameleon v3 FPGA board based on Intel Arria10 and
Stratix 10 Software Virtual platform, both in the SoCFPGA
    platform.

  - Two new wireless devices based on Broadcom SoCs:
The Asus GT-AX6000 Router and the Cisco Meraki MR26 access point

  - Improved Chromebook support for both the Mediatek and Qualcomm
SoC families brought added machines: Acer Chromebook 514 (MT8192),
Acer Chromebook Spin 513 (MT8195) and a couple of SC7180 based
machines including the Lenovo IdeaPad Chromebook Duet 3.

  - Xiaomi Mi Mix2s, LG G7 and LG V35 are mobile phones based on
Qualcomm SDM845, while Mi 5s Plus is based on MSM8996.

  - Finally, there are a few development board on other chips:
    PCB8309 (Microchip lan966x), Radxa Rock Pi S (Rockchips RK3308)
DH DRC Compact (ST STM32MP1) and Inforce IFC6560 (Qualcomm
    SDM660)

Merge tag 'qcom-drivers-for-5.20-2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/qcom/linux into arm/drivers

More Qualcomm driver changes for v5.20

This adds support for booting secondary cores, SPM, SMD-RPM and RPM
power-domain support for the MSM8909 platform.

It drops an unnecessary print in icc-bwmon, corrects SA8540P entries in
socinfo and a Kconfig build dependency for QCOM_RPMPD.

Lastly it continues to clean up up the Devicetree bindings for the
Qualcomm drivers.

Linus Torvalds ed4643521e ARM: DT updates for 5.18
After a somewhat quiet 5.17 release, the size of the DT changes
is a bit larger again. There are nine new SoC that get added,
all of them related to existing platforms:

  - Airoha (formerly Mediatek/EcoNet) EN7523 networking SoC and EVB

  - Mediatek mt6582 tablet platform with the Prestigio PMT5008 3G tablet

  - Microchip Lan966 networking SoC and it evaluation board

  - Qualcomm Snapdragon 625/632 midrange phone SoCs, with the
LG Nexus 5X and Fairphone FP3 phones

  - Renesas RZ/G2LC and RZ/V2L general-purpose embedded SoCs,
    along with their evaluation boards

  - Samsung Exynos 850 phone SoC and reference board

  - Samsung Exynos7885 with the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) phone

  - Tesla FSD (Fully Self-Driving), an automotive SoC losely derived
    from the Samsung Exynos family.

  - TI K3/AM62 SoC and reference board

Support for additional functionality in existing dts files is added all
over the place: Samsung, Renesas, Mstar, wpcm450, OMAP, AT91, Allwinner,
i.MX, Tegra, Aspeed, Oxnas, Qualcomm, Mediatek, and Broadcom.

Samsung has a rework for its pinctrl schema that is a bit tricky and
requires driver changes to be included here.

A few more platforms only have smaller cleanups and DT Schema fixes,
this includes SoCFPGA, ux500, ixp4xx, STi, Xilinx Zynq, LG, and Juno.

The new machines are really too many to list, but I'll do it anyway:

  Allwinner:
    - A20-Marsboard development board

  Amlogic
   - Amediatek X96-AIR (Amlogic S905X3)
   - CYX A95XF3-AIR (Amlogic S905X3)
   - Haochuangy H96-Max (Amlogic S905X3)
   - Amlogic AQ222 (Amlogic S4)
   - OSMC Vero 4K+ (Amlogic S905D)

  Arm Juno
   - Separate DT depending on SCMI firmware version

  Aspeed:
   - Quanta S6Q BMC (AST2600)
   - ASRock ROMED8HM3 (AST2500)

  Broadcom:
   - Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W

  Marvell MVEBU/Armada:
   - Ctera C200 V1 NAS (kirkwood)
   - Ctera C200 V2 NAS (armada-370)

  Mstar
   - DongShanPiOne, a low-end embedded board
   - Miyoo Mini handheld game console

  NXP i.MX:
   - Numerous i.MX8M Mini based boards in even more variations, but
none based on other SoCs this time:
Protonic PRT8MM, emCON-MX8M Mini, Toradex Verdin, and
     Gateworks GW7903

  Qualcomm:
   - Google Herobrine R1 Chromebook platform (Snapdragon 7c Gen 3)
   - SHIFT6mq phone (Snapdragon 845)
   - Samsung Galaxy Book2 (Snapdragon 850)
   - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Hardware Development Kit

  TI OMAP:
   - SanCloud BeagleBone Enhanced WiFi

  Rockchip:
   - Pine64 PineNote ereader tablet (rk356x)

Arnd Bergmann 4d558d4d88 Qualcomm driver updates for v5.18
This refactors the Qualcomm mdt file loader, to partially decouple it
from the SCM peripheral-authentication-service. This is needed as newer
platforms, such as the Qualcomm SM8450, require the metadata to remain
accessible to TrustZone during a longer time. This is followed by the
introduction of remoteproc drivers for SM8450 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1).

It changes the way hardware version differences are handled in the LLCC
driver and introduces support for Qualcomm SM8450. While updating the dt
binding for LLCC it also introduces the missing SM8350 compatible.

The ocmem and aoss drivers gains missing put_device() calls and rpmpd
gains a missing check for kcalloc() failure.

The SPM driver is updated to avoid instantiating the SPM cpuidle devices
if the CPUs aren't controlled by SPM, such as when Snapdragon 8916
operates in 32-bit mode without PSCI.

The RPM power-domain driver gains MSM8226 support.

Lastly the socinfo driver gains knowledge about a few new SoCs and
 PMICs.

Linus Torvalds aca48b2dd1 ARM: SoC devicetree changes for v5.17
As usual, this is the bulk of the updates for the SoC tree, adding
more devices to existing files, addressing issues from ever improving
automated checking, and fixing minor issues.

The most interesting bits as usual are the new platforms.
All the newly supported SoCs belong into existing families
 this time:

  - Qualcomm gets support for two newly announced platforms, both
of which can now work in production environments: the SDX65
5G modem that can run a minimal Linux on its Cortex-A7 core,
and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, their latest high-end phone SoC.

  - Renesas adds support for R-Car S4-8, the most recent automotive
    Server/Communication SoC.

  - TI adds support for J721s2, a new automotive SoC in the K3
    family.

  - Mediatek MT7986a/b is a SoC used in Wifi routers, the latest
generation following their popular MT76xx series. Only basic
    support is added for now.

  - NXP i.MX8 ULP8 is a new low-power variant of the widespread
    i.MX8 series.

  - TI SPEAr320s is a minor variant of the old SPEAr320 SoC that
we have supported for a long time.

New boards with the existing SoCs include

  - Aspeed AST2500/AST2600 BMCs in TYAN, Facebook and Yadro servers

  - AT91/SAMA5 based evaluation board

  - NXP gains twenty new development and industrial boards for their
    i.MX and Layerscape SoCs

  - Intel IXP4xx now supports the final two machines in device tree
that were previously only supported in old style board files.

  - Mediatek MT6589 is used in the Fairphone FP1 phone from 2013,
while MT8183 is used in the Acer Chromebook 314.

  - Qualcomm gains support for the reference machines using the two
new SoCs, plus a number of Chromebook variants and phones based
on the Snapdragon 7c, 845 and 888 SoCs, including various
Sony Xperia devices and the Microsoft Surface Duo 2.

  - ST STM32 now supports the Engicam i.Core STM32MP1 carrier board.

  - Tegra now boots various older Android devices based on 32-bit
chips out of the box, including a number of ASUS Transformer
    tablets.
There is also a new Jetson AGX Orin developer kit.

  - Apple support adds the missing device trees for all the remaining
M1 Macbook and iMac variants, though not yet the M1 Pro/Max
    versions.

  - Allwinner now supports another version of the Tanix TX6 set-top
box based on the H6 SoC.

  - Broadcom gains support for the Netgear RAXE500 Wireless router
    based on BCM4908.
