Andre Przywara c312c7818b net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: Fix clock handling
The DT binding for this PHY describes an *optional* clock property.
Due to a bug in the error handling logic, we are actually ignoring this
clock *all* of the time so far.

Fix this by using devm_clk_get_optional() to handle this clock properly.

Colin Ian King 180a8c3d5d net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: remove redundant !timeout check
The check for zero timeout is always true at the end of the proceeding
while loop; the only other exit path in the loop is if the unimac MDIO
is not busy. Remove the redundant zero timeout check and always
return -ETIMEDOUT on this timeout return path.

Since commit ad67b74d24 ("printk: hash addresses printed with %p")
pointers are being hashed when printed. Displaying the virtual memory at
bootup time is not helpful, especially given we use a dev_info() which
already displays the platform device's address.

Arnd Bergmann 9b97123a58 net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: mark PM functions as __maybe_unused
The newly added runtime-pm support causes a harmless warning
when CONFIG_PM is disabled:

drivers/net/phy/mdio-bcm-unimac.c:330:12: error: 'unimac_mdio_resume' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-function]
 static int unimac_mdio_resume(struct device *d)

 static int unimac_mdio_suspend(struct device *d)

Marking the functions as __maybe_unused is the easiest workaround
and avoids adding #ifdef checks.

Florian Fainelli cb51a0916a net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: Use correct I/O accessors
The driver currently uses __raw_{read,write}l which works for all
platforms supported: Broadcom MIPS LE/BE (native endian), ARM LE (native
endian) but not ARM BE (registers are still LE). Switch to using the
proper accessors for all platforms and explain why Broadcom MIPS BE is
special here, in doing so, we introduce a couple of helper functions to
abstract these differences.

Florian Fainelli f248aff86d net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: Allow specifying platform data
In preparation for having the bcmgenet driver migrate over the
mdio-bcm-unimac driver, add a platform data structure which allows
passing integrating specific details like bus name, wait function to
complete MDIO operations and PHY mask.

We also define what the platform device name contract is by defining
UNIMAC_MDIO_DRV_NAME and moving it to the platform_data header.

Florian Fainelli d782f7c935 net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: create unique bus names
In preparation for having multiple GENET instances in a system (up to
3), make sure that we do include the bus instance number in the name of
the MDIO bus such that we change it from "unimac-mdio" to
"unimac-mdio-0" for instance.

So far, the only user of this driver is using Device Tree, which uses a
lookup/parenting based technique to map PHY devices to their respective
MDIO bus controllers, hence causing no additional changes.

Doug Berger 421380856d net: bcmgenet: add support for the GENETv5 hardware
This commit adds support for the GENETv5 implementation.

The GENETv5 reports a major version of 6 instead of 5 so compensate
for this when verifying the configuration of the driver. Also the
EPHY revision is now contained in the MDIO registers of the PHY so
the EPHY revision of 0 in GENET_VER_FMT is expected for GENETv5.

Florian Fainelli d8e704e461 net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: workaround initial read failures for integrated PHYs
All BCM7xxx integrated Gigabit PHYs have an issue in their MDIO
management controller which will make the initial read or write to them
to fail and return 0xffff. This is a real issue as the typical first
thing we do is read from MII_PHYSID1 and MII_PHYSID2 from get_phy_id()
to register a driver for these PHYs.

Coupled with the workaround in drivers/net/phy/bcm7xxx.c, this
workaround for the MDIO bus controller consists in scanning the list of
PHYs to do this initial read workaround for as part of the MDIO bus
reset routine which is invoked prior to mdiobus_scan().

Once we have a proper PHY driver/device registered, all workarounds are
located there (e.g: power management suspend/resume calls).

Florian Fainelli 1a3f4e83bc net: phy: mdio-bcm-unimac: handle broken turn-around for specific PHYs
Some Ethernet PHYs/switches such as Broadcom's BCM53125 have a hardware bug
which makes them not release the MDIO line during turn-around time. This gets
flagged by the UniMAC MDIO controller as a read failure, and we fail the read
transaction.

Check the MDIO bus phy_ignore_ta_mask bitmask for the PHY we are reading
from and if it is listed in this bitmask, ignore the read failure and
proceed with returning the data we read out of the controller.
