Dikshita Agarwal df67e35844 media: venus: hfi: Increase plat_buf_v6 o/p buffer count.
Presently, minimum buffer count for output buffers for h264 &
hevc codec is kept as 8 which might not be sufficient for
few use cases so increasing the value to 18.

Dikshita Agarwal 64afe82740 media: venus: pm: Toggle 6xx wrapper power in vcodec_control
When in vcodec_control_v4() on the 4xx path we select between one of two
vcodec cores to toggle power control bits. In 6xx there is only one core
which offsets the relevant control registers to a slightly different
address.

This patch accounts for the address offset for 6xx silicon.

This patch takes the downstream AXI halt routine and applies it when
IS_V6() is true.

bod: Converted to readl_poll_timeout()
     Removed poll timeout for LPI register, testing showed the value
     would always timeout and work, so the polling did nothing of value.

Dikshita Agarwal c22b1a2949 media: venus: core,pm: Vote for min clk freq during venus boot
Vote for min clk frequency for core clks during prepare and enable clocks
at boot sequence. Without this the controller clock runs at very low value
(9.6MHz) which is not sufficient to boot venus.

Bryan O'Donoghue 7ed9e0b339 media: venus: hfi, vdec: v6 Add IS_V6() to existing IS_V4() if locations
In various places in the venus codebase we have if (IS_V4()) which takes
the code down paths for 4xx silicon. This logic is broadly applicable to
6xx silicon also. In this patch we add IS_V6() to various IS_V4() decision
locations.

Dikshita Agarwal 255385ca43 media: venus: hfi: Add a 6xx boot logic
This patch adds a 6xx specific boot logic. The goal is to share as much
code as possible between 3xx, 4xx and 6xx silicon.

We need to do a different write to WRAPPER_INTR_MASK with an additional
write to CPU_CS_H2XSOFTINTEN_V6 and CPU_CS_X2RPMh_V6.

The other writes are the same for 6xx and non-6xx silicon albeit at
different absolute relative locations to the base of the venus address
space.

Dikshita Agarwal 3c5e894dd3 media: venus: hfi: Define block offsets for V6 hardware
This commit defines a range of new base addresses for already defined
blocks.

- CPU_BASE_V6
- CPU_CS_BASE_V6
- CPU_IC_BASE_V6
- WRAPPER_BASE_V6

The base addresses of the blocks are slightly different for 6xx but, aside
from that are layout and bit compatible.

New 6xx specific block addresses will be added in separate commits.

Bryan O'Donoghue ff2a7013b3 media: venus: hfi,pm,firmware: Convert to block relative addressing
An upcoming silicon change places a number of existing blocks within the
Venus at different relative offsets to the base address of IO region.

In order to handle this difference this patch changes the address offsets
of the registers to function as offsets relative to the relevant sub-block
of registers within the IO region not the base address of the IO region.

As a result of this change venus_readl() and venus_writel() are deleted.

Bryan O'Donoghue b4053a2097 media: venus: core: Add io base variables for each block
New silicon means that the pre-determined offsets we have been using
in this driver no longer hold. Existing blocks of registers can exist at
different offsets relative to the IO base address.

This commit adds a routine to assign the IO base hooks a subsequent commit
will convert from absolute to relative addressing.

Stanimir Varbanov 834124c596 media: venus: hfi_parser: Don't initialize parser on v1
The Venus v1 behaves differently comparing with the other Venus
version in respect to capability parsing and when they are send
to the driver. So we don't need to initialize hfi parser for
multiple invocations like what we do for > v1 Venus versions.

Robert Foss 2f6f8af672 media: camss: Refactor VFE power domain toggling
For Titan ISPs clocks fail to re-enable during vfe_get()
after any vfe has been halted and its corresponding power
domain power has been detached.

Since all of the clocks depend on all of the PDs, per
VFE PD detaching is no option for Gen2 HW.

In order to not have regressions on for Gen1 HW, refactor
the power domain management into hardware version specific
code paths.

Robert Foss e19b14b187 media: camss: Add missing format identifiers
The CSI-2 spec defines format identifier for Data Type (DT),
and how the Decode Format (DF) & Encode Format (EF) are implemented.
The spec does however not define the DF, EF or Plain Format (PF)
identifiers, as those are vendor specific.

Plain formats describe the size of the pixels written by the RDI
units to memory. PLAIN8 for example has the size 8 bits, and
PLAIN32 32 bits. The appropriate Plain Format is determined by
the Decode Format used. The smallest Plain Format that is able
to contain a pixel of the used Decode Format is the appropriate
one to use.

As the vendor specific identifiers differ between hardware
generations, split them out into separate headers.

Add register definitions for version 170 of the Titan architecture
and implement support for the RDI output mode.

The RDI mode as opposed to the PIX output mode for the VFE unit does
not support any ISP functionality. This means essentially only
supporting dumping the output of the whatever the CSI decoder receives
from the sensor.

For example will a sensor outputting YUV pixel format frames, only
allow the VFE to dump those frames as they are received by the ISP
to memory through the RDI interface.

Robert Foss 9d95baf9fc media: camss: Make ISPIF subdevice optional
This driver supports multiple architecture versions of the Qualcomm ISP.
The CAMSS architecure which this driver is name after, and with the
introduction of this series, the Titan architecture.

The ISPIF is an IP-block that is only present in the CAMSS generation of
the architecture. In order to support the Titan generation, make the
ISPIF an optional subdevice.

V4L2 driver for the JPEG encoder/decoder from i.MX8QXP/i.MX8QM application
processors.
The multi-planar buffers API is used.

Baseline and extended sequential jpeg decoding is supported.
Progressive jpeg decoding is not supported by the IP.
Supports encode and decode of various formats:
     YUV444, YUV422, YUV420, RGB, ARGB, Gray
YUV420 is the only multi-planar format supported.
Minimum resolution is 64 x 64, maximum 8192 x 8192.
The alignment requirements for the resolution depend on the format,
multiple of 16 resolutions should work for all formats.

v4l2-compliance tests are passing, including the
streaming tests, "v4l2-compliance -s"

Laurent Pinchart 38e89e790f media: ti-vpe: cal: Implement media controller centric API
The CAL driver is video node centric, it controls the whole device
through the video device nodes. This limits the possible use cases as it
can't support sources that are more complex than a single subdev. To
support more complex hardware pipelines, implement support for the media
controller centric API. The exposed API can be selected through a module
parameter.

On production devices the firmware could be located on different
places, this path could be provided by special firmware-name DT
property.

Here we check for existence of such DT property and if it exist
take the firmware path from there. Otherwise, if the property
is missing we fallback to the predefined path from driver resource
structure.

is the last in a series of three commits to add core.c vdec.c and venc.c

Jae Hyun Yoo 3536169f85 media: aspeed: fix clock handling logic
Video engine uses eclk and vclk for its clock sources and its reset
control is coupled with eclk so the current clock enabling sequence works
like below.

 Enable eclk
 De-assert Video Engine reset
 10ms delay
 Enable vclk

It introduces improper reset on the Video Engine hardware and eventually
the hardware generates unexpected DMA memory transfers that can corrupt
memory region in random and sporadic patterns. This issue is observed
very rarely on some specific AST2500 SoCs but it causes a critical
kernel panic with making a various shape of signature so it's extremely
hard to debug. Moreover, the issue is observed even when the video
engine is not actively used because udevd turns on the video engine
hardware for a short time to make a query in every boot.

To fix this issue, this commit changes the clock handling logic to make
the reset de-assertion triggered after enabling both eclk and vclk. Also,
it adds clk_unprepare call for a case when probe fails.

clk: ast2600: fix reset settings for eclk and vclk
Video engine reset setting should be coupled with eclk to match it
with the setting for previous Aspeed SoCs which is defined in
clk-aspeed.c since all Aspeed SoCs are sharing a single video engine
driver. Also, reset bit 6 is defined as 'Video Engine' reset in
datasheet so it should be de-asserted when eclk is enabled. This
commit fixes the setting.

Dafna Hirschfeld cbe8373ca7 media: rkisp1: rsz: crash fix when setting src format
When setting the source media bus code in the resizer,
we first check that the current media bus code in the
source is yuv encoded format. This is done by
retrieving the data from the formats list of the isp
entity. This cause a crash when the media bus code on the
source is YUYV8_1_5X8 which is not supported by the isp
entity. Instead we should test the sink format of the resizer
which is guaranteed to be supported by the isp entity.

Vladimir Lypak 2f90857781 media: qcom: camss: Fix overflows in clock rate calculations
Because of u32 type being used to store pixel clock rate, expression used
to calculate pipeline clocks (pixel_clock * bpp) produces wrong value due
to integer overflow. This patch changes data type used to store, pass and
retrieve pixel_clock from u32 to u64 to make this mistake less likely to
be repeated in the future.

Andrey Konovalov 78c2cc28df media: camss: use v4l2_get_link_freq() to calculate the relevant clocks
There are places in the camss driver where camss_get_pixel_clock() is
called to get the pixel rate (using V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE control) and to
calculate the link frequency from it. There is a case when this would
not work: when V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE gets the rate at which the pixels are
read (sampled) from the sensor's pixel array, and this rate is different
from the pixel transmission rate over the CSI link, the link frequency
value can't be calculated from the pixel rate. One needs to use
V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ to get the link frequency in this case.

Replace such calls to camss_get_pixel_clock() with calls to a wrapper
around v4l2_get_link_freq(). v4l2_get_link_freq() tries V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ
first, and if it is not implemented by the camera sensor driver, falls
back to V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE to calculate the link frequency value from.

Calls to camss_get_pixel_clock() from vfe_[check,set]_clock_rates()
are left intact as it looks like this VFE clock does depend on the
rate the pixel samples comes out of the camera sensor, not on the
frequency at which the link between the sensor and the CSI receiver
operates.

Ezequiel Garcia 832e6609f7 media: pxa_camera: Drop the v4l2-clk clock register
Now that mach-based PXA platforms are registering proper
fixed-rate clocks through the CCF, the v4l2-clk clock
is no longer required.

Drop this clock, so the driver no longer depends on the

The functions that add an async subdev to an async subdev notifier take
as an argument the size of the container structure they need to
allocate. This is error prone, as passing an invalid size will not be
caught by the compiler. Wrap those functions in macros that take a
container type instead of a size, and cast the returned pointer to the
desired type. The compiler will catch mistakes if the incorrect type is
passed to the macro, as the assignment types won't match.

Ezequiel Garcia c1cf3d896d media: v4l2-async: Clean v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_remote_subdev
Change v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_remote_subdev semantics
so it allocates the struct v4l2_async_subdev pointer.

This makes the API consistent: the v4l2-async subdevice addition
functions have now a unified usage model. This model is simpler,
as it makes v4l2-async responsible for the allocation and release
of the subdevice descriptor, and no longer something the driver
has to worry about.

On the user side, the change makes the API simpler for the drivers
to use and less error-prone.

values and transmitted to userspace don't leak kernel data by zeroing
them beforehand.

Heiko Stuebner fc672d806b media: rockchip: rkisp1: carry ip version information
The IP block evolved from its rk3288/rk3399 base and the vendor
designates them with a numerical version. rk3399 for example
is designated V10 probably meaning V1.0.

There doesn't seem to be an actual version register we could read that
information from, so allow the match_data to carry that information
for future differentiation.

Also carry that information in the hw_revision field of the media-
controller API, so that userspace also has access to that.

The added versions are:
- V10: at least rk3288 + rk3399
- V11: seemingly unused as of now, but probably appeared in some soc
- V12: at least rk3326 + px30
- V13: at least rk1808

The Allegro Codec supports HEVC encoding. The messages to the MCU are
the same for H.264 and HEVC, but some options have to be changed. These
are actually only a few options.

The driver, however, must add the HEVC VPS/SPS/PPS NAL Units to the
coded stream and must properly provide the HEVC format and controls to
user space.

The HEVC Non-VCL NAL units require more space than the H.264 Non-VCL NAL
units. Therefore, the driver needs to reserve more space in front of the
actual coded data that is written by the hardware codec.

Increase the offset that shall be used by the hardware codec from 64
bytes to 128 bytes which is as arbitrary as before.

Michael Tretter d4a881c1b9 media: allegro: implement scaling of cpb size in SPS
The cbp_size_value_minus1 in the SPS can scaled using cpb_size_scale to
reduce the number of bits necessary to encode the value. For simplicity,
the scaling was set to 1.

Restructure to the code to make it easier to drop the cbp_size from the
channel and as we are at it, also properly implement the scaling.

Michael Tretter e7cd90988b media: allegro: fix log2_max_poc in firmware 2019.1
The log2_max_poc field is used to set log2_max_pic_order_cnt_lsb_minus4
for the coded stream. It has an allowed range of 0 to 12.

param contains the value without the minus4, but since firmware
version 2019.1, the value has to be log2_max_pic_order_cnt_lsb - 1,
presumably to fit the maximum value of 16 into a 4 bit field.

The driver does not support firmware version 2019.1. Thus, change the
behaviour starting from firmware version 2019.2.

Michael Tretter 83a4b7fd7f media: allegro: move encoding options to channel
There are several encoding options that are hard coded in the parameter
that is used to configure the hardware codec. However, some of the
options must be written to the SPS/PPS by the driver. Furthermore, some
of the options depend on the codec that is used (i.e. H.264 or HEVC).

Therefore, move options that depend on the codec to the channel and add
constants for options that are independent of the codec but must be
written to the SPS/PPS.

In order to support different codecs, the driver must support changing
the format on CAPTURE. Therefore, the driver needs to handle S_FMT on
CAPTURE.

As the driver will have a different number of formats for OUTPUT and
CAPTURE, split the check for the format index in ENUM_FMT into CAPTURE
and OUTPUT.

When encoding a video as HEVC, the allegro driver needs to generate the
Non-VCL NAL units for HEVC. Do the same as for H.264 and add a module
that takes C structs for the VPS/SPS/PPS and encodes the fields as RBPS
as specified by "ITU-T Rec. H.265 (02/2018) high efficiency video
coding".

The event route for VIN running with a media controller (Gen3) is
incorrect as all events are only routed to the video device that are
used to register the async notifier.

Remedy this be examining which subdevice generated the event and route

The hfi_session_init can be called many times and it returns

Stanimir Varbanov 20891170f3 media: venus: Limit HFI sessions to the maximum supported
Currently we rely on firmware to return error when we reach the maximum
supported number of sessions. But this errors are happened at reqbuf
time which is a bit later. The more reasonable way looks like is to
return the error on driver open.

To achieve that modify hfi_session_create to return error when we reach
maximum count of sessions and thus refuse open.

If the DRC is near the end of the stream the client
may send a V4L2_DEC_CMD_STOP before the DRC occurs.
V4L2_DEC_CMD_STOP puts the driver into the
VENUS_DEC_STATE_DRAIN state.  DRC must be aware so
that after the DRC event the state can be restored
correctly.

Alexandre Courbot d5ee32d7e5 media: venus: preserve DRC state across seeks
DRC events can happen virtually at anytime, including when we are
starting a seek. Should this happen, we must make sure to return to the
DRC state, otherwise the firmware will expect buffers of the new
resolution whereas userspace will still work with the old one.

Returning to the DRC state upon resume for seeking makes sure that the
client will get the DRC event and will reallocate the buffers to fit the
firmware's expectations.

Alexandre Courbot cc82fd691a media: venus: use contig vb2 ops
This driver uses the SG vb2 ops, but effectively only ever accesses the
first entry of the SG table, indicating that it expects a flat layout.
Switch it to use the contiguous ops to make sure this expected invariant
is always enforced. Since the device is supposed to be behind an IOMMU
this should have little to none practical consequences beyond making the
driver not rely on a particular behavior of the SG implementation.

When a pending buffer becomes active, the cal_dmaqueue.active field is
updated, but the pending field keeps the same value until a new buffer
becomes pending. This requires handling the special case of
pending == active in different places. Simplify the code by setting the
pending field to NULL when the pending buffer becomes active. Buffers
are now simply moved from queue to pending and from pending to active.

Laurent Pinchart ca4fec54f6 media: ti-vpe: cal: Group all DMA queue fields in struct cal_dmaqueue
The cal_dmaqueue structure only contains the list of queued buffers.
Move the other fields that are logically related to the DMA queue
(current and next buffer points, state, wait queue and lock) from
cal_ctx to cal_dmaqueue.

Take this as an opportunity to document the fields usage and to give
them more appropriate names. The 'active' field stored the list of all
queued buffers, not the active buffers, so rename it to 'queue'. The
'cur_frm' and 'next_frm' are respectively renamed to 'active' and
'pending' to better explain their purpose. The 'dma_state' and
'dma_wait' fields are stripped of their 'dma_' prefix as they're now
part of cal_dmaqueue. Finally, 'slock' is renamed to 'lock'.

Laurent Pinchart cbb8cd7cc1 media: ti-vpe: cal: Stop write DMA without disabling PPI
When stopping the stream, the driver needs to ensure that ongoing DMA
completes and that no new DMA is started. It does so using a feature of
the PPI that can be stopped on a frame boundary. The downside of this
mechanism is that the DMA can't be stopped independently of the source,
which prevents usage of multiple contexts for the same source (to handle
CSI-2 virtual channels or data types).

Rework the stream stop mechanism to stop the write DMA without disabling
the PPI first. The new mechanism relies on the combination of a state
machine in the driver and shadowing of the CAL_WR_DMA_CTRL_j.MODE field
in the hardware. When a stop is requested, the DMA start interrupt
handler will request the hardware to stop at the end of the current
frame by disabling the write DMA context in the shadowed register, and
flag that a stop is in progress. The next DMA end interrupt will then
report that the stop is complete.

This makes it possible to stop the PPI after stopping the DMA, and fold
the cal_camerarx_ppi_disable() call into cal_camerarx_stop().

Laurent Pinchart 75c80311ed media: ti-vpe: cal: Refactor interrupt enable/disable
Interrupts are enabled and disabled by the cal_camerarx_enable_irqs()
and cal_camerarx_disable_irqs(). Despite their name, they deal with all
interrupts, not just the CAMERARX interrupts, and they hardcode the
assumption that the context index is identical to the CAMERARX index.

Split the context-related interrupt management to two new functions,
cal_ctx_enable_irqs() and cal_ctx_disable_irqs(), called from the
cal_start_streaming() and cal_stop_streaming() functions. The explicit
calls to cal_camerarx_enable_irqs() and cal_camerarx_disable_irqs() are
folded with the CAMERARX .s_stream() operation to simplify the CAMERARX
API.

Enabling the OCPO error interrupt is moved to the PM runtime resume
operation, as it's global to the device, not related to a CAMERARX or
context. The VC IRQ enable and disable are removed as they're not used,
the parent interrupt bit (CAL_HL_IRQ_VC_MASK) never being set.

Jacopo Mondi fb25ca3731 media: rcar-vin: Mask VNCSI_IFMD register
The VNCSI_IFMD register controls the data expansion mode and the
channel routing between the CSI-2 receivers and VIN instances.

According to the chip manual revision 2.20 not all fields are available
for all the SoCs:
- V3M, V3H and E3 do not support the DES1 field has they do not feature
  a CSI20 receiver.
- D3 only supports parallel input, and the whole register shall always
  be written as 0.

Inspect the per-SoC channel routing table where the available CSI-2
instances are reported and configure VNCSI_IFMD accordingly.

The GE2D is a 2D accelerator with various features like configurable
blitter with alpha blending, frame rotation, scaling, format conversion
and colorspace conversion.

The driver implements a Memory2Memory VB2 V4L2 streaming device permitting:
- 0, 90, 180, 270deg rotation
- horizontal/vertical flipping
- source cropping
- destination compositing
- 32bit/24bit/16bit format conversion

This adds the support for the GE2D version found in the AXG SoCs Family.

The missing features are:
- Source scaling
- Colorspace conversion
- Advanced alpha blending & blitting options

The assumption of "Each entry in formats[] table has unique mbus_code"
is valid for the RDI entities, but not for the PIX ones.

Reverting this patch and creating a new one which handles the PIX entities
correctly results in smaller and more straightforward patch than doing the
changes on top of the current version.
