Greg Price	9ece4a5057	Unmark files as executable that can't actually be executed. (GH-15353) ... There are plenty of legitimate scripts in the tree that begin with a `#!`, but also a few that seem to be marked executable by mistake. Found them with this command -- it gets executable files known to Git, filters to the ones that don't start with a `#!`, and then unmarks them as executable: $ git ls-files --stage \ | perl -lane 'print $F[3] if (!/^100644/)' \ | while read f; do head -c2 "$f" | grep -qxF '#!' \ || chmod a-x "$f"; \ done Looking at the list by hand confirms that we didn't sweep up any files that should have the executable bit after all. In particular * The `.psd` files are images from Photoshop. * The `.bat` files sure look like things that can be run. Greg Bowser	8fbece135d	bpo-36590: Add Bluetooth RFCOMM and support for Windows. (GH-12767) ... Support for RFCOMM, L2CAP, HCI, SCO is based on the BTPROTO_* macros being defined. Winsock only supports RFCOMM, even though it has a BTHPROTO_L2CAP macro. L2CAP support would build on windows, but not necessarily work. Christian Heimes	d37c068e69	Add sockaddr_alg to sock_addr_t (#234) ... sock_addr_t is used to define the minimum size of any socket address on the stack. Let's make sure that an AF_ALG address always fits. Coverity complains because in theory, AF_ALG might be larger than any of the other structs. In practice it already fits. Guido van Rossum	11ba094957	Major overhaul of timeout sockets: ... - setblocking(0) and settimeout(0) are now equivalent, and ditto for setblocking(1) and settimeout(None). - Don't raise an exception from internal_select(); let the final call report the error (this means you will get an EAGAIN error instead of an ETIMEDOUT error -- I don't care). - Move the select to inside the Py_{BEGIN,END}_ALLOW_THREADS brackets, so other theads can run (this was a bug in the original code). - Redid the retry logic in connect() and connect_ex() to avoid masking errors. This probably doesn't work for Windows yet; I'll fix that next. It may also fail on other platforms, depending on what retrying a connect does; I need help with this. - Get rid of the retry logic in accept(). I don't think it was needed at all. Guido van Rossum	67f7a38849	SF patch 555085 (timeout socket implementation) by Michael Gilfix. ... I've made considerable changes to Michael's code, specifically to use the select() system call directly and to store the timeout as a C double instead of a Python object; internally, -1.0 (or anything negative) represents the None from the API. I'm not 100% sure that all corner cases are covered correctly, so please keep an eye on this. Next I'm going to try it Windows before Tim complains.
