Victor Stinner ff3d9399fc Close #12326: sys.platform is now always 'linux' on Linux 
On Linux, sys.platform doesn't contain the major version anymore. It is now
always 'linux', instead of 'linux2' or 'linux3' depending on the Linux version
used to build Python.

os.lchflags() are once again built on systems that support these
functions (*BSD and OS X).  Also add new stat file flags for OS X
(UF_HIDDEN and UF_COMPRESSED).  Also add additional tests for
os.chflags() and os.lchflags(). (Tests by Garrett Cooper)

Ralf Schmitt 069456267e disable ASDLGEN if hg won't work, or if python is not installed. 
This change makes configure check for
- the existence of a hg repository
- the hg executable itself
- the python executable

Running $(srcdir)/Parser/asdl_c.py (i.e. ASDLGEN) will fail if any of
the above prerequisites is missing, so we now disable it instead.

Victor Stinner 8f9f8d612a Issue #11888: Use system log2() when available 
I expect the system libc to use more accurate functions than Python. The GNU
libc uses for example FYL2X and FYL2XP1 hardware instructions on Intel FPU.
