gitg is a GitX clone for GNOME/gtk+. It aims at being a small, fast and
convenient tool to visualize git history and actions that benefit from a
graphical presentation.

= Installing gitg =
To install the latest version of gitg, make sure to download gitg-0.0.6.tar.bz2
from the download site. After downloading the following procedure installs
gitg:

	$ tar -xjf gitg-0.0.6.tar.bz2
	$ cd gitg-0.0.6
	$ ./configure
	$ make
	$ sudo make install

= Using gitg =
When gitg is installed, you can run gitg from the GNOME menu, or from a
terminal by issuing: 'gitg'. Type 'gitg --help' to show the options you can
specify on the command line.
