Merge branch 'maint'

* maint:
  Fixing path quoting in git-rebase
  Remove unecessary hard-coding of EDITOR=':' VISUAL=':' in some test suites.
  Documentation: quote commit messages consistently.
  Remove escaping of '|' in manpage option sections
